Nicola Strong and Tanya Elliot Nyegaard would like to invite you to join them for a weekend on learning how to sculpt a portrait in clay. Set in the beautiful and sumptuous surrounding of the Castle Leslie Country House Club, the intention is to provide a relaxing and inspiring space for creating your work of art. There will be presentations on materials and processes with live demonstrations by Tanya and Nicola during the day. On Saturday evening there will be a chance to enjoy a discussion on the work of famous Irish sculptors during one of Castle Leslie’s celebrated club dinners.

Nicola Strong’s work is primarily in portraiture where she explores the spirit of character and faces using clay and bronze. http://www.strongsculptures.co.uk/

Guests who would like to accompany their partners but do not want to attend this course are welcome to try one of the many activities such as horse riding or the two-day course at the Cookery School on ‘Dinner parties to impress’ which is taking place the same weekend. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to simply enjoy the experience of what it is like to live on a country house estate.
